IPL 2022: Ahmedabad Franchise Officially Named ‘Ahmedabad Titans’

There has been a lot of brouhaha since the beginning of February 2022. All sides had already announced their retentions and Lucknow — the other new team that has been added — revealed their details too. There were some memes doing the rounds in social media around how the Ahmedabad franchise is taking their own sweet little time in going about their business.

With less than a week remaining for the Mega Auctions in Bengaluru, the Gujarat-based team has announced their name Ahmedabad Titans and it only makes sense to put ourselves in their shoes and envisage the events that would unfold for them in the coming days.

To start things off, Hardik Pandya has been named as captain. The star all-rounder has won 4 IPL titles with his former franchise — Mumbai Indians — in the 7 years that he had been with them between 2015 and 2021. The 28-year-old was part of one of the most successful teams in IPL history. In the last couple of years, we’ve also seen him get into discussions with captains and bowlers during decisive moments of a game — which shows us that he’s got the skin in him to take up this leadership role. In his presser with the media too, he spoke about his excitement about this new inning of his career.
